How do you complete Cat School Gear in Witcher 3? ›

When you hit the shore you will be at the Smuggler's Den. There is another cave here, and inside is where you can use your Witcher Senses to locate the Feline Steel Sword Diagram – Superior. This will complete the superior set of gear for the Cat School Gear.

As of the final "Blood and Wine" expansion, bonuses have been implemented for wearing 3 and 6 matching pieces of Witcher gear. Bonus for 3 pieces: Strong Attacks increase Fast Attack damage for 5 seconds by 10% for each piece of the set.

The base version of the Cat School gear, as well as all upgrades, can be acquired by completing a series of quests known as Scavenger Hunts. Once discovered, these missions are located in the Treasure Hunts section of the Quests screen.

Mastercrafted Feline Witcher Gear

Level 31 is required to wear the armor, while the swords' wielder needs to be level 30.

Once you defeated the Earth Elemental, click on the stone marked on your map. It will tell you to search in the nearby area. Look for the destroyed stone wall and go to the corner on the “inside”. The chest containing all the Superior Feline armor diagrams is there.

You'll find this diagram unguarded at the Drahim Castle signpost just to the south of Novigrad. It's just to the southwest of the Cunny of the Goose signpost. When you arrive, head down the ladders to find the Feline Steel Sword diagram, but feel free to explore all of the castle for other goodies.

To upgrade your Feline set to Grandmaster, you'll need to obtain the six armor and weapon diagrams, which are scattered throughout the Toussaint zone.

If you're looking for the objectively best choice in terms of loot, we recommend sparing Gaetan. You'll gain 200 experience and be granted a new quest called Take What You Want.

Superior Feline Gear and Armor locations

To the north of Novigrad is a cavern guarded by various monsters. There is a wooden decked out area inside the cave with a chest nestled between other lootable items, the diagram is in there.

As light armor, the Feline set doesn't have the best stats when it comes to raw defenses. Geralt will mention that the only way to save her might be to give her one of his Swallow potions, but as they are only for Witchers, she may not react well to it.

The Viper Witcher armor pieces are only available for high-level players during story missions of the Hearts of Stone expansion. The Feline swords make for an excellent recommendation whether you're in the early-game or the late-game.

Geralt of Rivia's crossbow is a crossbow in the Blood and Wine expansion that is given as a reward if Geralt wins the shooting match during The Warble of a Smitten Knight under his own name.

Go inside the main building and turn right to find a chest with two diagrams. Heading south from the Arthach Palace Ruins this time, you'll come across a cave. Follow the path and turn left and you'll find the remaining diagrams you need to finish the Feline Armour for good.

How to make cat school gear? ›

In order to forge the Feline Armor, the player needs a shirt, two pieces of hardened leather, two pieces of dark steel plate, two pieces of hardened timber, and some powdered monster tissue.

Enter the main floor and, near where the cat marker is, climb down the ladder and follow the tunnel into a room with 2 gates on either side. Use your Witcher Senses on the area between the brick wall and the gate on the right to find a brick you can interact with, opening a hidden room on the brick wall.

To craft the Enhanced Feline armor pieces and swords, you need to have first crafted the basic Feline Witcher gear set, becaue the pieces are required for this crafting upgrade.

Any Armorer/Weaponsmith can do it. For weapons, you can go to the smithy at the Nilfguardian camp. There's a dwarf smithy in the center of White Orchid who can do the armour, after a certain quest.

The only general skill I would use is the (Cat School Techniques). Its always worth it, when you use light armor.

The easiest way to get all the markers on the map is to buy Adalbert Kermith's fourth map from Lindenvale's blacksmith. For these you're headed back to Skellige. The steel sword diagram will likely be the easiest one to find early on, as it's at Kaer Gelen on Ard Skellig.

The Grandmaster Wolven set is one of the best looking in the entire game, fitting Geralt's background perfectly. Boasting decent defenses across the board alongside bonuses to sign intensity, attack damage value, and critical damage bonus the Wolf set is one of the most rounded available to the player.
